Supershitty to the Max! is the debut album by the Swedish sleaze rock band The Hellacopters from 1996.

Emergence

Two years after the band was founded, The Hellacopters recorded their debut album over three days in just 26 hours in February 1996 in the Stockholm Sunlight Studio of producer Tomas Skogsberg . The release was on June 1, 1996 on record , two weeks later on CD on the labels White Jazz Records and Toys Factory .

The four-piece band was supported by their later member Anders Lindström on the piano under the pseudonym Bobba Fett . In addition, Peder Criss played the harmonica , Hans Östlund was lead guitarist on Ain't No Time and Nick Vahlberg sang on How Could I Care .

Awards

In 1996 The Hellacopters received the Swedish Grammis Music Prize in the hard rock category for their debut album. The German magazine Visions introduced Supershitty to the Max! on their 2019 list of the 55 best Swedish rock albums.

The record release includes It's Too Late, an additional title that comes sixth after Bore Me and before Tab . The title is a cover version of a song by the US rock band New York Dolls from their album Too Much Too Soon .
