Sydney Miller is a 13 year old who, with her father and stepmother , visits Hawaii , the home of her late mother. She discovered her inner strength through surfing and other treasures of the island. She later finds out why her father flew her to Hawaii. She inherited a large amount of land that without her would become state owned and sold to a hotel chain. This would like to block the beaches for surfers. After learning more about her mother, the past and the island's beauty, Sydney can no longer sell the property.
