The Sustenhorn is a mountain in the Urner Alps in Switzerland , south of the Susten Pass , at an altitude of 3503 m above sea level. M. It lies on the parish of Göschenen in the east and Gadmen in the west. Together with the neighboring mountain to the west, the Gwächtenhorn ( 3420 m above sea level ), the southeast flank forms a basin in which the stone glacier lies.
Routes for climbing
The normal route leads from the Steingletscher and from the Tierberglihütte of the SAC to the summit.
An alternative is to climb the Sustenhorn via the east ridge. From the starting point, the pre-alpine hut of the SAC , to conquer the 1,400 meters in altitude in six to seven hours.
