Sylvia Lamsfuß

Sylvia Lamsfuß (* 1951 in Bonn ) is a German writer.

Life

She was already working as a freelancer for local newspapers at the age of 16 and passed her Abitur in 1970 at the new language girls' high school in Siegburg . She then studied English , German , Slavic , history and theater studies at the Universities of Bonn and Cologne . She completed her studies in 1976 with a master's degree and subsequently worked as an editor for the Bonner General-Anzeiger until 1989 . Since then she has worked as a language teacher and freelance writer.

In the 1970s Lamsfuß published her first poems and in 2006 her debut crime novel about Commissioner Dörte Wilhelms. She is also the protagonist of her second and third books. Lamsfuß, who has lived with her husband Klaus Schick on a farm in the Funnens district of Wangerland since 1994 , joined the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party in 2009 .
