The SynAGEN initiative is supported by the non-profit association Handlungsnetz eV and is intended to promote the ecological and social responsibility of individuals as well as their targeted cooperation. For this purpose, the event form of the Wirkcamp was developed. The main idea is that 10–20 participants work in working groups for a weekend on a socially relevant project. Effective camps differ from other types of social participation in that they are limited to a weekend. They also provide a framework for smaller, less institutionalized projects.
