Töle Bi ( Kazakh Төле би , Russian Толе би ; Novotroitskoje / Новотроицкое until 1992) is in place in the Shambyl region in Kazakhstan .

geography

The place is located on the Shu River and is the administrative center of Audany Shu in the Shambyl area. It is located around nine kilometers north of the city of Shu at the eastern end of the Mujunkum desert .

history

As part of a large-scale agrarian reform at the beginning of the 20th century, thousands of Russian farmers were sent to the remote areas of Siberia and Kazakhstan. The place was founded by three Russian families from the Voronezh region. Just a few years after these families settled here, another 100 families settled here in 1906. Initially the village was called Novoje Troitskoye (Новое Троицкое) and from 1916 the place was called Novotroitskoje (Новотроицкое).

A school was built and in the post-war years of World War II the population continued to grow, so that administrative and social facilities were built. At the end of the 1960s, a cinema opened and several other residential buildings were built, which means that the place continued to grow.

Since the independence of Kazakhstan in 1992, the place bears the name of the Kazakh poet Töle Bi .

population

The 1999 census showed a population of 17,860 people for the place. At the last census in 2009, Töle Bi had 19,000 inhabitants. As of January 1, 2020, the extrapolation of the population resulted in a population of 21,393 people.
