The Tüterbach is a 2.8 km long orographically right tributary of the Trüggelbach in Bielefeld in North Rhine-Westphalia .
River course
The Tüterbach rises on the southern outskirts of the Brackwede district of Bielefeld in the area of the junction between the Ostwestfalendamm and the Südring. It flows in a south-westerly direction following the flattening of the Teutoburg Forest , mostly parallel to federal highway 61 (Gütersloher Straße). The body of water mostly crosses parkland with arable land , grassland and small forest areas , larger settlement areas are not passed. On the eastern outskirts of Ummeln the Tüterbach flows into the Trüggelbach on the right . During its entire course, the body of water is therefore exclusively in the area of the Brackweder urban district.
The Tüterbach overcomes a height difference of 12 meters along its course, resulting in an average bed gradient of 4.3 ‰.
Water quality
The water quality of the Tüterbaches is located, according to the water quality report from 2008 largely in a moderately loaded condition (Grade II), but the quality class II-III and thus a critical load is considered in the upper reaches.
