T-Boz
Tionne Tenese "T-Boz" Watkins (* 26. April 1970 in Des Moines , Iowa ) is an American singer and member of the R & B - Hip-hop trios TLC .
biography
Watkins father left the family when she was three years old. She then moved to Atlanta with her mother . There she was expelled from three different high schools during her school days , and she herself describes her school days as the toughest time of her life. However, thanks to her mother, she got a sufficient degree and began training as a hairdresser .
In 1991, she was raised by her future manager Pebbles along with Lisa Lopes and Rozonda Thomas as a band TLC under contract taken. She has had sickle cell anemia since childhood , but was only 28 years old when she was diagnosed. In 1999 her book Thoughts was published, in which she also published some self-written poems in addition to her biography. As an actress , she played in several productions (including in White Lines - In the vicious circle of crime ). In August 2000 she married the rapper Mack 10 . Their daughter, Chase Rolison, was born on October 20, 2000, but Tionne filed for divorce in 2004. In 2016 she adopted a little boy named Chance, born July 31, 2015.
Today Tionne is the national spokesperson for the American Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation, has her own children's clothing store ("Chase's Closet") in Houston and two of her own companies, "Shee Inc." and "Grunge Girl Music".
