history

history

TSV Selk was founded by citizens of the communities of Selk , Geltorf and Lottorf in November 1965. The association had 41 members at the founding meeting. Four squads were created at the founding meeting. One male and one female each in the senior and youth sector. Gymnastics, gymnastics and games were established as divisions. The club was based in the gym of the village community school in Selk, which was built in the same year.

In 1972 the range of activities was expanded to include tennis , and two hard tennis courts were built on the site of today's Selk sports and cultural center. The men's table tennis team reached the upper league in 1974 after a positive 36-0 record in the regional league . The master team included Paul Lemke jun., Helmut Zdara, Rüdiger Stenzel, Bernd Wohlert, Alfred von Dollen, Walter Gründahl , Ulrich Winkler and Wolfgang Mohr, department head and sponsor was Paul Lemke jun. After second and fourth place, she was first in the league 1976/77, but missed promotion. A year later she prevailed in the promotion games to the Bundesliga . In 1978/79, however, she remained without a win in the Bundesliga and was relegated directly. In the following year she was again top division champion, but Jaroslav Kunz , Alfred von Dollen, Bernd Wohlert, Ulrich Winkler, Dr. Reinhard Lahme and Uwe Greve in the promotion round.

In 1977 there were the following branches in the club: table tennis, basketball, women's gymnastics, children's gymnastics, football and tennis. This year the association had 339 active members. In the same year two football fields were built behind the gymnasium, and they were inaugurated in September 1978 with a festival program. Part of this festival program was, among other things, a friendly game of the men's teams of TSV Selk, who were playing in the district class at the time, and Schleswig 06 , who were playing in the association league. This inauguration game was opened by a parachute jump by the first chairman, Dr. Erhard Bohlman, who placed the ball on the kick-off point.

At the German Cup Championships, the Selker table tennis men played in the semi-finals in 1977, 1978 and 1979.

At the beginning of the 80s, the table tennis men’s team, which was still playing in the regional league at the time, was dissolved. In 1983 the tennis courts were converted from hard courts to soft courts. In 1991 another tennis soft court was added. In 1993 a youth and sports home was built on the tennis grounds and the sports hall renovated. In the following year TSV Selk was able to register over 400 active members for the first time.

At the beginning of the 2000s, the football division of TSV Selk merged with the divisions of TSV Doppeleiche Jagel and TuS Busdorf to form FC Haddeby. In 2004 the footballers of TSV Fahrdorf joined them. Since then, the official football club has been called FC Haddeby 04. Its greatest success was the championship of the Association League Northwest (VI) , albeit as SG Sylt / Haddeby. Main article: FC Sylt , or FC Haddeby 04.

In 2013, a separate facility was built next to the tennis courts for the archery division that has existed since 2011. This bears the name of the current first chairman Udo Assall ("Udo Assall archery park") as an honor for the services to the newly created archery division, as well as the services to the entire association. In the same year the young people of the association joined the association as a youth department under the name "Haddeby makes ZELTLAGER!"

In October 2016, HmZ and the Haddeby young team are organizing the third edition of the "Lütt Haddeby" adventure camp. A tent camp with 100 participants is planned for 2017 on the sports grounds. HmZ is organized by an annually newly elected project manager.
