The Theban tomb TT2 is located in Deir el-Medina west of Luxor on the opposite side of the Nile . It is the burial place of the ancient Egyptian official Khabechnet and his family. Chabechnet was under Ramses II ( 19th dynasty ) "servant in the place of truth" (necropolis worker) and the son of Sennedjem , who owns grave TT1 .

In the courtyard of the tomb there are several steles , one of which shows Khabechnet kneeling with his father Sennedjem. The accompanying text includes hymns for Re . Another stele shows the Re's solar boat, which is worshiped by baboons . In other registers, Chabechnet's father and family appear before Horus and Satet, and Chabechnet and his wife Sahte before Ahmose I and Queen Ahmose-Nefertari .

The decoration of the burial chapel shows Chabechnet with family in front of deities and funeral scenes. His father Sennedjem kneels before the god Min and a goddess. His brother Chons and his wife are depicted sacrificing before Senendjem and Iy-neferti. Chabechnet offers candles to Min and Isis .
Another wall shows a ceremony in the Temple of Mut near Karnak , where god's barges and an avenue with criosphing rings can also be seen. Another register shows the pilgrimage to Abydos . In a funeral trial scene, Chabechnet's brother Chons is led by Harsiese and Chon's wife by Anubis , male mourners accompany a funeral procession .
In four other registers, Sennedjem and relatives worship the Hathor cow, which stands in a shrine . Several people take part in a banquet . The last register shows a funeral procession.
