Taşlıçay is a county seat and a county in Turkey . Both are in the eastern Anatolian province of Ağrı . The district is centrally located in the province, bordered by Van Province to the south and Iğdır Province to the north .

The Taşlıçay district was formed in 1954 and, in addition to the district town (approx. 33 percent of the district population ), also houses 37 villages ( Köy ) with an average of 371 inhabitants. Only Kumluca exceeds the thousand mark in terms of population (1,495 inhabitants).
