Takashi Inui ( Japanese 乾 貴 士 , Inui Takashi ; born June 2, 1988 in Ōmihachiman ) is a Japanese football player . The midfielder is under contract with SD Eibar and is a Japanese international .

Club career

Inui began his professional career at Yokohama F. Marinos , where he played from January 2007. After he came to only seven appearances in the J. League in the first year and a half, he was loaned to the second division club Cerezo Osaka for half a year . There he developed into a regular player and was permanently signed by Cerezo Osaka in January 2009. In the 2009 season he made promotion to the J. League with the club. There he reached third place in the table in the first season after promotion and qualified for the 2011 AFC Champions League .

In July 2011, VfL Bochum signed the attacking midfielder with a contract term of three years.

In the summer break of 2012, Eintracht Frankfurt signed Inui with a contract term until June 30, 2015. The transfer fee should have been around 1.2 million euros. He made his Bundesliga debut on August 25, 2012 (1st matchday) in a 2-1 win at home against Bayer 04 Leverkusen . He also scored his first Bundesliga goal at Eintracht: On September 16, 2012, he scored this in a 3-2 home win against Hamburger SV with the goal to make it 1-0 in the 13th minute.

In August 2015 Inui moved to SD Eibar in the Spanish Primera División . After three years, the Japanese moved to Betis Sevilla in the summer of 2018 , where he signed a contract until 2021. In January 2019 Inui joined Deportivo Alavés on loan for half a year . In summer 2019 he returned to his former club SD Eibar.

National team

Inui made his debut for the Japanese national team on January 20, 2009 when he came on for Kazuya Yamamura in the 46th minute of the game against Yemen . On November 14, 2014, he scored his first two international goals in a 6-0 win over Honduras .
