Fernando Pacheco Flores (born May 18, 1992 in Badajoz ) is a Spanish football goalkeeper . He is currently under contract with Deportivo Alavés .
Club career
Fernando Pacheco began his career in his hometown of Puebla de Obando with CD Obandino . At the age of 12 he moved to the provincial capital Badajoz to CP Flecha Negra . In July 2006, the then 14-year-old Pacheco joined the youth team at Real Madrid , where he started in the Cadete B (U-15) team. In the 2009/10 season he won the Copa de Campeones , the Spanish U-19 club championship, with the youth team.
In the 2011/12 season he was the third goalkeeper in the professional team's squad, but played in parallel for the club's third team in the Tercera División . He made his debut in the A-squad of the "Royal" on December 20, 2011 in a cup game against SD Ponferradina , when he came on in the 82nd minute for Antonio Adán .
For the 2012/13 season Pacheco was part of the squad of the second team Real Madrid Castilla , which played in the Segunda División . In December 2012, he injured his shoulder and was out for five months. He celebrated his first game in the goal of Real Madrid Castilla on June 2, 2013 in a league match against AD Alcorcón .
For the 2014/15 season, Pacheco moved up firmly as the third goalkeeper in the first team. For the 2015/16 season he moved to the second division club Deportivo Alavés , with whom he immediately rose to the Primera División as a champion .
National team
Fernando Pacheco made his debut in a tournament in Porto in April 2011 in the Spanish U-19 national team. He also competed in the elite round to qualify for the EM 2011 with the Iberians, but was ultimately not in the final squad. Instead, he played the World Cup in Colombia with the Spanish U-20s at the same time , was in goal in four games and reached the quarter-finals with his team, where they failed at the eventual tournament winner Brazil.
