Talking Pets is an indie rock band from Munich, founded in 2009 .

history

The band emerged from the previous band The Golden Years . Talking Pets first made a name for itself in the Munich music scene and was referred to by the Süddeutsche Zeitung as the “new Munich pop hope”.

The debut album was released on September 4, 2009. This was followed by television appearances on the BR youth channel PULS and regular presence in radio and print media. Talking Pets also performed with Airship, The Pigeon Detectives , Kakkmaddafakka , Dum Dum Girls and Beat! Beat! Beat! and were invited to tour Germany at the end of 2010 by the Scottish band Frightened Rabbit .

On February 24, 2012, the second album entitled Cities was released. Talking Pets were presented by BR magazine Startrampe together with Captain Capa and Manual Kant in the 10th season. The EP Asteroids was released in December 2012 .

In May 2013 Talking Pets were invited by Sportfreunde Stiller on their sold-out tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Concerts all over Germany followed. Another highlight was the performance as support for the British indie rock band Editors at the so-called Westend Festival 2013 in October 2013 . The concert took place at the invitation of the music magazine Visions in the sold-out Dortmund Leisure Center West (FZW) in front of over 1,200 visitors. The evening was accompanied by the WDR broadcast Rockpalast . The concert recording was published as a DVD supplement by Visions.
