Tamara Alexejewna Zelikowskaja
Tamara Alexejewna Zelikowskaja ( Russian Тамара Алексеевна Целиковская ; born November 17, 1935 in Jelez ; † July 12, 2019 in Kiev ) was a Soviet - Ukrainian architect .
Life
Since the admission competition to study at the Moscow Architecture Institute (MArchI) was too tough, Zelikowskaja studied at the Kiev Institute of Civil Engineering with a degree in 1959. She then worked at the Research Institute for Building Construction of the Academy of Building and Architecture of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (SSR) . She was involved in the development of the instruction for the use of ceramic wall structures, which was approved in December 1961 by the State Committee for Construction of the Council of Ministers of the USSR .
In 1963 Zelikowskaja became an architect at the Kiev metro project planning institute for the construction of the Kiev metro (Kiev branch of the Metrogiprotrans project planning and development institute for metro construction ). In 1969 she became a member of the Union of Architects of the USSR (and in 1991 of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine ). 1980–1987, as a member of a specialist group on the Kiev metro project , she advised Bulgarian architects on the design of the Sofia metro . 1985–1990 she was secretary of the Kiev department of the Union of Architects of the USSR.
In 1994 the Kiev metro project became the PI Ukrmetrotonnel project . There Zelikowskaja became head of the architecture and planning workshop and chief architect of the project. In 2015 she retired.
