Tamariskia is a suburb of Swakopmund in Namibia . The district is located in the northeast of the city. In the east it borders on the Mondesa district , in the west on Vineta .
Originally Tamariskia was a township for the Coloreds of Swakopmund. Especially since Namibia's independence in 1990, the mining company Rössing has settled many of its workers here.
In addition to small individual houses, there are also some new building areas and the large laboratory of the Pathological Association of Namibia . The district is also home to the Blue Boys football club and the Tamariskia Stadium .
