Mondesa is a suburb of Swakopmund in Namibia . The district is located in the northeast of the city. In the northwest it borders on the Tamariskia district and in the south on the industrial area. Otherwise, Mondesa is surrounded by the Namib desert , with the Democratic Resettlement Community (DRC), the slum area of Swakopmund officially recognized by the city administration in 2003, spreading further to the northeast at a distance of about one kilometer .

Originally, Mondesa was a township for the black residents of Swakopmund. It is still the poorest part of the city today, characterized by small individual houses and a population with high unemployment. It continues to be the fastest growing district with an estimated population of 25,000 and consequently more than 70% of the total population of Swakopmund.

The Namibian first division soccer team Blue Boys is based in the Mondesa district . In 2008 the Mondesa Play Park opened as one of the largest children's playgrounds in the city.
