Tamil Script Code for Information Interchange
Tamil Script Code for Information Interchange ( Tamil font encoding for information exchange , TSCII ) is a character set that the character encoding of the Tamil magazine in computer systems is used.
TSCII is an extension of the ASCII character set.
TSCII encodes the characters in visual (written) order, just like a Tamil typewriter . Unicode, on the other hand, took over the coding in logical (spoken) order from ISCII , in contrast to the procedure for Thai , where the national standard TIS-620 prejudiced the visual order.
The government of the state of Tamil Nadu has introduced its own standards (TAB / TAM), but these have become less widespread. Many other encodings for Tamil, each requiring a specific font, are still in use.
The free text collection Project Madurai uses the TSCII coding, but has already started to make a Unicode version available.

- A Tamil Unicode font is required for the correct display of the table.
In the table, 80 hex is the Unicode character U + 0BE6 TAMIL DIGIT ZERO. AD hex and FF hex are not used.
