Tamina (born January 10, 1978 in Vancouver , Washington ) is an American wrestler . She is currently under contract with the WWE and appears regularly on their show SmackDown . Her biggest achievement to date is receiving the WWE 24/7 Championship .
Wrestling career
World Wrestling Entertainment (since 2010)
On May 24, 2010 Tamina made her debut with The Usos . A feud ensued between the trio and the Hart dynasty. On June 21st, Tamina made her singles debut against Natalya , but the match was unsuccessful after The Nexus interrupted the match. Tamina began a relationship with Marella following the December 6 episode of Raw.
After Tamina moved to SmackDown as part of the 2011 draft, she made her SmackDown debut as the villain in the SmackDown episode on May 27, beating Alicia Fox , the team of AJ and Kaitlyn . This was followed by a feud against Kaitlyn and Alicia Fox, which she could not win. She returned in late September 2013 and took on the role of bodyguard for then Divas Champion AJ Lee . At the end of 2014, she separated from AJ.
Eleven months after surgery, on June 4, 2014, Snuka returned on May 4, 2015 following the episode of Raw and allied with Naomi when the Bella Twins attacked. Tamina and Naomi defeated the Bella Twins in a tag team match at Payback. The following night on Raw, Tamina interfered in Naomi's Divas Championship match against Nikki Bella and caused a disqualification. After the match, Paige returned from injury and attacked Tamina, Naomi and Nikki. However, she could not win a future title match. The team split from Tamina after an injury.
On February 18, 2017, Snuka returned to the ring in a tag team match at a SmackDown Live event in which she and Natalya scored a win over Alexa Bliss and Carmella . She tried several times to qualify for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship , but this was unsuccessful over time.
On October 15, 2018, the episode of Raw, Tamina surprisingly returned after nine months of inactivity due to various injuries. She formed a team with Nia Jax . On April 7, 2019 at WrestleMania 35, they fought in a Fatal Four Way Tag Team Match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship , but they couldn't win that match. The team disband after Jax sustained a knee injury. On October 6, 2019, she won the WWE 24/7 Championship from Carmella. However, she lost it to R-Truth that same night after taking a super kick and Carmella.
As part of the 2019 draft, Tamina was drafted to SmackDown. Tamina took part in the 2020 Women's Royal Rumble Match and had start number 14. She was eliminated by Bianca Belair within a few seconds . On May 10, 2020, she got a chance at Bayley 's SmackDown Women's Championship , but she couldn't win the title.
