Tang Jialin ( 唐佳琳 , Táng Jiālín ; born November 5, 1991 ) is a Chinese biathlete and cross-country skier .
Career
Tang Jialin competed in her first international cross-country skiing race on the last day of 2005 in Changchun as part of the Cross-Country Far East Cup and came fourth in a sprint race. It was not until the 2006/07 season that it was used in the same place for the first and only time in the Cross-Country World Cup . In this 10-kilometer freestyle race, Tang finished 29th, winning two World Cup points. The next international assignments took place at the Winter Universiade 2009 in Yabuli , where the Chinese took 30th place in the 5-kilometer freestyle and was 26th in the freestyle sprint.
Since 2008 Tang has been concentrating more on biathlon. At the start of the 2008/09 season she made her debut in Idre in the IBU Cup and was 59 in her first sprint. She won first points at the following IBU Cup station in Obertilliach as 31st of an individual. The highlight of the season was participation in the Junior World Championships 2009 in Canmore , where she was 21st in the sprint, 22nd in pursuit and individual and eighth in the relay race. At the first stops of the IBU Cup in the 2009/10 season she made other international appearances in which the Chinese competed in the top 20 several times and with 12th place in a sprint in Obertilliach, her best result so far in the second highest international racing series in biathlon reached. In Östersund Tang came at the beginning of the 2010/11 season for her first appearance in the Biathlon World Cup and was 45 in an individual. So she missed first points by just five places. She reached the world cup rankings a week later than 40th in Hochfilzen for the first time. In the same place Tang Jialin came in sprint in the 2011/12 season in 6th place and in the top ten for the first time.
