The actual start of the programs on Tango TV was on February 2nd, 2002, after a team of around twenty people had started to set up the channel on October 1st, 2001. Initially, it was planned to launch Tango TV, one of the first UMTS channels. For a few months the advertising medium was broadcast analogue via the Astra 1E satellite . Attention was gained by broadcasting the television series The Simpsons in its original language.

The first program director at launch in 2002 was Steve Blame , who began his career as a newscaster at MTV's European subsidiary . Steve Blame left Tango TV shortly after it started broadcasting. He was replaced by Edy Geiben, who had to resign from the illegal sale of video clips to a local Munich broadcaster. At that time, Tango TV was a pure music channel. In the meantime there were problems with the start as a UMTS broadcaster. On the one hand, the start of the new technology was delayed, on the other hand there were problems with the licensing of the cell phone towers and with the end devices that were not yet available in large numbers.

With the relaunch in November 2004 as T.TV, the focus was increasingly on information formats. Most of the programs were broadcast in Luxembourgish , French and German , but there were also broadcasts in English and Portuguese . Program windows for the respective versions of the information programs Bloomberg TV and EuroNews were set up. The animated series The Simpsons was also included again in the program scheme.

Most recently, the program consisted largely of program takeovers from Antenne West , Saar TV and Fashion TV as well as some self-produced information programs . According to their own statements, the aim of this program was to reach those under 40 who were interested in culture. With a market share of 15%, the audience ratings were far below those of the market leader RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg . On March 17, 2007 at midnight the broadcasting was stopped.
