Tərlan Musa oğlu Əhmədov (also Tarlan Akhmedov or Tarlan Ahmadov , Russian Тарлан Ахмедов ; born November 17, 1971 in Baku , AsSSR ) is an Azerbaijani football player . He is currently working as a trainer at Xəzər Lənkəran . As an active player, he played mainly in Baku at Neftçi Baku . He also played for other Azerbaijani clubs, such as Turan Tovuz , Shafa Baku , Karvan Yevlax and Olimpik Baku , his last club. He also played in Russia with Terek Grozny , Fakel Voronezh and Anzhi Makhachkala . For 2002/03 he signed with Esteghlal Tehran in Iran . In the 2003/04 season he was on the pitch for the Ukrainian club Volyn from Lutsk .

He made his first international match on September 17, 1992 against Georgia (final score 3: 6). He has made 73 appearances for Azerbaijan. The last time he played for his home country against Austria was on September 7, 2005 . Until September 12, 2007 he was the sole record player of Azerbaijan. The record was then set by Aslan Kərimov and topped on October 13, 2007.

In 1999 he was named Azerbaijan's 1999 Footballer of the Year .
