Tatiana Sorokko ( Russian Татьяна Николаевна Сорокко , Tatyana Nikolayevna Sorokko , * as a Russian Татьяна Николаевна Илюшкина , Tatyana Nikolayevna Iljuschkina on 26. December 1971 in Arzamas-16 , Russian SFSR , USSR ) is a Russian and American model .

Childhood and youth

Tatiana Sorokko was born in 1971 in Arzamas-16, Russian SFSR , USSR , the daughter of two nuclear physicists. She attended the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology .

Career

In 1990, Tatiana Sorokko, then 18, was discovered on the street in Moscow by Marilyn Gauthier, the founder of the French modeling agency Marilyn Agency . She invited them to come to Paris. Her career began in 1990 when she met the photographer Guy Bourdin and she appeared in shows by Chanel , Dior , Bill Blass , Versace , Givenchy , Oscar de la Renta , Gianfranco Ferré , Yves Saint Laurent , Marc Jacobs , Valentino , Comme des Garçons , Calvin Klein , Dolce & Gabbana , Jean Paul Gaultier and Christian Lacroix performed. Sorokko's photos have appeared in magazines such as Vogue , Elle , Cosmopolitan , and Harper's Bazaar . She has also appeared in a variety of advertising campaigns such as Yves Saint Laurent , Versace , Ungaro and Donna Karan .

In 1994 Tatiana Sorokko played herself alongside numerous other models in Robert Altman's film comedy Prêt-à-Porter (1994).

Private life

In 1992 she married the American art dealer and gallery owner Serge Sorokko in Beverly Hills .
