Tatiana Valerjewna Petrowa ( Russian Татьяна Валерьевна Петрова , English transcription Tatyana Petrova ; born April 8, 1983 in Karak-Syrmy , Urmary Rajon ) is a Russian long-distance and obstacle runner .

At the Junior World Championships in 2002 she was fourth over 3000 meters and sixth over 5000 meters . Then she started in road races and finished fifth in the Honolulu Marathon in 2004 and third in 2007 and eighth in the Chicago Marathon in 2005 with 2:31:03 h.

However, her greatest successes have so far been achieved in the 3,000-meter obstacle course. Here she won silver at the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg and at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka and came third at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing .

In the 2009 season she turned back to the marathon. A fourth place in the Dubai Marathon in 2:25:53 h was followed by a victory in the Los Angeles Marathon in 2:25:59 h. At the Berlin Marathon 2011 she achieved her personal best of 2:25:01 h (5th place ). With a new personal best, she won the bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London .

Tatiana Petrowa is 1.60 m tall and weighs 53 kg.
