The Tehvandi ski jump is a ski jumping hill of category HS 100 in the city of Otepää in Estonia . Up until 2008 there was a K-70 plastic covered hill on this facility.

history

The winter sports center in Otepää was opened on January 14, 1968 with the K-70 plastic covered hill in Estonia . Apart from the annual cross-country skiing world cup , no international events were held there. In order to be able to host the Nordic Junior World Championships, planning for the K-90 hill was started in 2001. The project was implemented in 2006 with private donations and European support. The K-90 plastic covered hill was opened on January 18, 2008. A few days later the ailing K-70 ski jump was torn down. Should the Otepää Spordiklubi association apply to host a Nordic World Ski Championships after the Junior World Championships 2011 , an extension to include jumps with K 120, K 70 and K 50 is planned. Since the ski jumping hill was completed, the Estonian ski jumping championships have been held there regularly.

For a long time, the Japanese Sara Takanashi held the hill record on snow with 101.5 meters, set up on January 25, 2011. Then the Estonian Artti Aigro twice exceeded her previous best performance in 2013 and 2017 with 102 meters.
