Last year's winner Vicky Botwright did not take part again. In the final, Natalie Grainger prevailed against Rebecca Chiu with 9: 0, 9: 1 and 9: 4. It was Grainger's 13th title on the World Tour.
The field of participants in the women's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were starting places for qualifiers. The best eight players were seeded. A wildcard was not awarded.
