Texas Open 2005

The Texas Open 2005 took place from April 4-9, 2005 in Dallas , Texas , United States . The women's squash tournament was part of the WSA World Tour 2004/05 and belonged to the WSA Gold 35 category . The prize money was $ 50,000.

Last year's winner was Rachael Grinham , who again reached the final. In this, the top seeded Grinham was defeated by Vanessa Atkinson, seeded in second place, despite the 2-0 lead. Atkinson won the game 9:10, 0: 9, 9: 4, 9: 3 and 9: 2, making her 15th title on the World Tour.

The field of participants in the women's competition consisted of 32 players, a qualification was not played. The best 16 players were seeded. A wildcard was not awarded.
