church

The Catholic branch church of St. Wendelinus is a simple building (arched window) from the years 1887 to 1888. The re-entrant front tower has a pointed helmet that changes from a square to an octagon. The facade is enlivened by sandstone pilasters, doors and a niche with a sinusoidal spiral figure. The interior has a flat ceiling, the choir is divided by an archway. The gallery rests on two fluted columns. The main altar is a work of Franconian Rococo: between two pairs of Corinthian pilasters and a pair of columns there is a life-size Madonna with rays. The assistant figures are St. Kilian and St. John Nepomuk. In the excerpt HL. = Spirit = dove with clouds and rays, volutes and angels: The following wooden figures are also available: Joseph with the child, John the Baptist, Wendelinus and Aloysius.
