Reulbach is a district of the municipality of Ehrenberg (Rhön) in the eastern Hessian district of Fulda .
Geographical location
Reulbach is located on a high plateau between the 816 meter high Ehrenberg in the east and the 950 meter high Wasserkuppe in the southwest. The Reulbach, which rises in the village, soon flows into the Brandbach, a left tributary of the Ulster . Reulbach borders in the north on Wickers and Brand , in the west on Abtsroda and Obernhausen , in the south on Sandberg and Wüstensachsen and in the east on Seiferts and Melperts .
history
The working group "Chronik 700 Jahre Reulbach" assumes the first documentary mention of Reulbach with Rügelberk because it appears under this name in 1303 in the fiefdom index of the Würzburg prince-bishop Andreas von Gundelfingen , the oldest fief book of the diocese of Würzburg . After a period of desertification , the place was settled again in the 16th century.
Territorial reform
On August 1, 1972 Reulbach was in the course of administrative reform in Hesse powerful state law in the 197'0 newly established community Ehrenberg (Rhön) incorporated . For Melperts as for the other formerly independent municipalities, local districts with local advisory council and local councilor were formed according to the Hessian municipal code.
