The Big One for One Drop 2016 , also Big One for One Drop Extravaganza 2016 , was the third edition of this poker tournament . It was played from October 14 to 16, 2016 as part of the Monte-Carlo One Drop Extravaganza in the Monte-Carlo Casino and, with a buy-in of one million euros up to the Triton Million for Charity in August 2019, was the most expensive poker tournament worldwide .

The tournament in the variant No-Limit Hold'em was held from 14 to 16 October 2016th It was organized by Guy Laliberté and was only open to recreational players invited by him. The buy-in was one million euros, of which 111,111 euros went to Laliberté's One Drop Foundation , which advocates unconditional access to clean drinking water in crisis areas. A total of 26 players took part, of which Laliberté and Pantling used the option of a rebuy. The prize pool was therefore almost 25 million euros.
