The Big One for One Drop 2012
The Big One for One Drop 2012 was the first edition of this poker tournament . It was played from July 1-3, 2012 as part of the World Series of Poker at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and, with a buy-in of one million dollars, was the most expensive poker tournament of 2012.
structure
The tournament in the variant No-Limit Hold'em was the 55th event on the tournament schedule of the WSOP in 2012 and took place from 1 to 3 July. The buy-in was $ 1 million, of which $ 111,111 went to Guy Laliberté's One Drop Foundation , which advocates unconditional access to clean drinking water in crisis areas. A total of 48 players took part, generating a prize pool of more than $ 42.5 million.
