The Crossing is an American science fiction - television series . It was first broadcast on April 2, 2018 on US broadcaster ABC . In Germany, the series has been on Prime Video since April 27, 2018 .
On May 11, 2018, ABC canceled the series after just one season. The series ends with a cliffhanger .

In the (fictional) American town of Port Canaan, Oregon, over four hundred people were washed up on a beach. 47 of them survived. The town's sheriff, Jude Ellis, comes first. When the survivors are interviewed, they say that they are refugees from the future. The Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), a unit of the police and customs authority of the Ministry of Internal Security (DHS), under the direction of Agent Emma Ren, quickly took over responsibility. But Jude wants to know what's going on in his small town and does his own research.

The series was set to music by Film- & Fernseh-Synchron . Christine Roche, Jan Odle and Änne Troester wrote the dialogue books. Bianca Krahl and Marianne Groß directed the dialogue.
