Simone Kessell (* 1975 in New Zealand ) is a New Zealand actress in film and television. She played roles in films such as Stickmen , Sum of Existence , San Andreas and The Lovers .

life and career

Simone Kessell began her acting career in the early 1990s as a young actress with appearances in episodes of television series and television films. She got her first major role in 1998, where she played the role of Dr. Stella O'Shaughness embodied in thirteen episodes of the TV series Adrenalin - Emergency Doctors on Action . In 2009 she played the part of Isabelle Wilson in the Australian miniseries Underbelly - War of the Underworld in seven episodes and in 2011 in twelve episodes the character of Lt. Alicia Washington in the science fiction television series Terra Nova .

Kessell was first seen in cinemas in 2001 in the drama Stickmen directed by Hamish Rothwell. This was followed by smaller roles in films like Dangerous Surf 2 - Liquid Bridge , Sum of Existence , Informers , Frost / Nixon , Burning Man or San Andreas . In the romantic adventure film The Lovers , she plays the role of Clara Coldstream in the cast of Josh Hartnett , Tamsin Egerton , Alice Englert , Tehmina Sunny and Mahesh Jadu, directed by Roland Joffé .

Simone Kessell is married to the Australian director Gregor Jordan . Together they have two sons, Jack (* 2005) and Beau (* 2013).
