The Kennedy Veil is an American technical death metal band from Sacramento , California that was formed in 2009.

history

The band was formed in 2009 and consisted of guitarist Casey Childers, drummer Gabe Seeber, who also worked for Decrepit Birth , singer Cody Walker and bassist Shawn Peterson. The band then recorded their first album, The Sentence of Their Conqueror, under the direction of Josh Williams at Metal Works Studios . After the album was released in May 2011, appearances followed along with Cephalic Carnage , Exhumed , Cattle Decapitation , Macabre , Decrepit Birth, Origin , Divine Heresy and Abysmal Dawn . In the same year Unique Leader Records became aware of the band and signed them. In October 2012 singer Cody Walker left the band and was replaced by Taylor Wientjes. In the same year the band worked on their second album, which was released in January 2014 under the name Trinity of Falsehood .

According to Blabbermouth.net , the band was heavily influenced by groups like Deicide , Morbid Angel , Suffocation , Origin, Psycroptic and Decapitated . According to Perran Helyes from soundandmotionmag.com, the band on Trinity of Falsehood plays classic Technical Death Metal, whereby the song structures are still understandable. She especially emphasized the drumming, which has fast double bass and blast beats , as well as complex rhythms . The guttural vocals by Taylor Wientjes is moving sounded terms of height usually in the middle.
