The Mind's I is the third studio album by the Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquility . It was released in 1997 through Osmose Productions and was the band's last album for this record label.

Emergence

After the relatively technically failed previous album The Gallery , the musicians wanted to make the new studio album a little easier. Guitarist Niklas Sundin explained in an interview that every Dark Tranquility album is a reaction to its predecessor. With The Mind's I , the musicians wanted to limit the songs to the essentials.

The recordings took place in the Fredman studio in Gothenburg . Produced The Mind's I by Fredrik Nordström and the band. Sara Svensson can be heard as a guest musician on the song Insanity's Crescendo . For the songs Zodijackyl Light and Hedon were music videos rotated.
