Where Death Is Most Alive ( Engl. For Where is death most alive ) is the second DVD of the Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquility . The double DVD was released on October 26, 2009 via Century Media Records and reached number one on the Swedish music DVD charts. The title of the DVD comes from the song "Terminus (Where Death Is Most Alive)" from the album Fiction . At the same time a double CD of the same name was also released.

Emergence

The first DVD contains a recording of a dark tranquility concert in the Italian city of Milan on October 31, 2008. With a length of around 110 minutes, it was the longest concert the band has ever played. The guest musician is the Theater-of-Tragedy singer Nell Sigland, who took over the female vocal parts in “Insanity's Crescendo” and “The Mundane and the Magic”. The recordings were made by the Finnish company Vasara Films Ltd. carried out. A total of eight cameras recorded the concert. Directed by Vesa Vainio, producer was Mika Ruso. The mixing and mastering took Tue Madsen.

The second DVD begins with the documentary Out of Nothing about the history of the band. In addition to the current band members, companions like former members Fredrik Johansson and Michael Nicklasson, At-the-Gates singer Tomas Lindberg , Tiamat drummer Anders Iwers and music producer Fredrik Nordström have their say. Originally, the original dark tranquility singer Anders Fridén was also supposed to have a say, which didn't work out due to lack of time. The documentary is followed by the seven music videos that the band has made so far. The video for the song "Terminus (Where Death Is Most Alive)" is a brick film and was created by a German fan. The band members are represented as Lego figures . The video for the song "Misery's Crown" could not be completed during the shooting in early 2007. A new video was shot for the DVD. The second DVD is concluded with 21 live videos that go back to the early days of the band.
