Michael Nicklasson is a Swedish guitarist and bass player .

Career

Nicklasson's career began in the late 1980s with the thrash metal band Mortal Abuse , in which he played with the first Arch Enemy singer Johan Liiva, among others . He later played at Sarcazm with today's in-flames guitarist Niclas Engelin . Neither band got beyond the release of demos . In 1993 he was one of the founding members of the death metal band Luciferion , with whom he released the first album The Manifesto in 1996 . Until the release of the second album The Apostate in 2003, Luciferion were largely inactive and only played a few concerts, so that the musicians devoted themselves to other projects.

After Nicklasson appeared in 1997 as a guest singer for the melodic death metal band Dark Tranquility on the song Zodiacyl Light , he joined the band as a permanent member two years later. Nicklasson took over the bass while Martin Henriksson switched to the guitar. Nicklasson released four albums with Dark Tranquility before he left the band in 2008. He was suffering from diabetes mellitus and then withdrew from the music business.
