The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2 (also HYYH Pt. 2 , Hangeul : 화양연화 pt.2, Hanja : 花樣 年華, revised Romanization : Hwayangyeonhwa pt.2 ) is the fourth EP by the South Korean boy group BTS , which was released on November 30, 2015 via Big Hit Entertainment . The album contains nine songs, including the single RUN. Two different physical versions (blue and peach) have been released. HYYH Pt. 2 i st the second part of The Most Beautiful Moment in Life trilogy.

Background and advertising

On September 8, 2015, Big Hit Entertainment announced the EP and the upcoming 2015 BTS LIVE tour "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life On Stage"   with the video “화양연화 on stage: prologue” on Navers V LIVE . The animated comeback trailer "Intro: Never Mind" by SUGA , RM and J-Hope was released on November 17th . On November 20, BigHit announced the exhibition 'Butterfly Dream: BTS Open Media Exhibition' on Instagram. December 2015 in Seoul . On November 23, the first concept photos under the title "Je Ne Regrette Rien", French for "I have no regrets", were published on Facebook. The next day the rest of the pictures followed with the name "Papillion", which means "butterfly". The teaser for RUN was released on November 25th . An official album snippet was released with the track listing on November 26th. On November 27th, the group released the song "Ma City" on their website for free streaming for 24 hours. On the same day, at a press conference for their concert, the group said, “Part one explained how stressful and difficult youth are and how we always feel on the edge of the cliff. Part two is going to have a more adventurous and daring feel. That's why our title song is called RUN ”.

Music video

The music video for RUN came out on November 30th alongside the album. The narration in the video combines the stories of I NEED U and 화양연화 on stage: prologue video .

Commercial win

On November 26, it was announced that the EP had pre-ordered over 150,000 copies. All 13,500 tickets were bought for the three concerts of "The 2015 BTS LIVE" The Most Beautiful Moment in Life On Stage "tour in Seoul from November 27th to 29th. A further 25,000 tickets were purchased for the two concerts on November 8th and 9th. Purchased December in Japan.

All nine songs on the EP made it onto the GAON Singles Chart. With "RUN" the Bangtan Boys won five trophies at music shows. The album debuted at number 1 on the weekly and monthly GAON album charts.

The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2 was the 5th best-selling album of the year in Korea with 274,135 copies sold.

Eight songs landed on Billboard's World Digital Songs Charts and the EP debuted as the group's first work at number 171 on the Billboard 200 with 5,000 copies sold. BTS was the first K-pop act whose album spent more than a week at number 1 on the Billboard World Albums Chart . The EP was in the charts for a total of 22 weeks.

The EP landed at # 4 on Billboard's The 10 Best K-pop Albums of 2015, while RUN was # 3 on The 20 Best K-pop Songs of 2015 .
