Brooklyn , New York City : Angie Donatello is the new leader of a small group of boys who have been doing minor criminal jobs in their neighborhood since childhood - from stealing church donation baskets to robbing truck loads these days. Gianluca Moretti is a mafia - Pate whose family calls the shots for four generations in the neighborhood. Moretti grants Angie to join his ranks and work for him in the heroin business, but Angie distances himself from it because he does not want to be part of this poison. All is well in Angie's world until one of his men, who is like a brother to him, gets involved in Moretti's heroin business and Angie soon tries to sort out the grievances in the neighborhood.
