The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) is a foundation that was established in 2001. Its objective is the worldwide and cross-cultural dissemination of the ideology of Prem Rawat , also known as Maharaji , through the publication of lectures, speeches, literature, music, art and public forums. The foundation has the motto "Dignity - Peace - Prosperity" ( dignity - peace - prosperity ).

The Los Angeles- based organization focuses on providing assistance to people in remote, rural areas. According to its own information, TPRF sponsored a free eye clinic in India five times between 2003 and 2007. After extensive destruction by Hurricane Ivan in 2004, the foundation distributed battery-free flashlights to Grenada . In 2005, TPRF supported the United Nations World Food Program , the world's largest hunger relief organization, with donations for the disaster areas in Niger , Indonesia , Guatemala , Mozambique , Sumatra and Sri Lanka . In addition, the foundation financed relief efforts after the earthquake in Pakistan , landslides in the Philippines and Hurricane Katrina in the USA, after the earthquake in Peru in August 2007, and in partnership with Oxfam a breakfast program for the school children of the indigenous people of an Australian island and with the Action Against Hunger is an aid program for malnourished children in Tucumán , Argentina, and in partnership with the Cambodian Children's Fund for children in Cambodia .

In 2006, the organization opened a food for people facility in northeast India, serving 45,000 free meals a day to destitute children and adults. A second such facility for local food security was established in Nepal in 2008 under the auspices of the Premsagar Foundation Nepal , with the help of a US $ 250,000 donation from TPRF. Prem Rawat was honored and recognized in April 2006 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York for a drinking water development program of the TPRF in Ghana in collaboration with the National Council of Women of the United States . In 2006, TPRF participated in an Oxfam drinking water project in war-torn parts of Lebanon .

In 2007 the foundation participated in projects of the development aid organization Voluntary Service Overseas in Africa as well as in relief efforts of the Compartimos Bienestar y Salud Para Los Niños Maya IAP during the flooding of the Tabasco province in Mexico.

In 2007 the foundation started a very successful Peace Education Program (PEP) for prisoners, which was carried out in 2011 in 25 prisons in 10 countries.

In 2008, the organization sponsored 80,000 meals for children in need in Houston as part of the Houston Food Bank 's Kid's Café campaign and, in conjunction with the Eastern Culture Foundation and the Eastern Charity Foundation, an initial one-year breakfast program for 530 Native American elementary school children in remote areas of Taiwan . Flood victims in Santa Lucia, Ecuador , received food aid in partnership with Montañas de Esperanza . Through the United Nations World Food Program , TPRF supported refugees in Kenya during the unrest after the 2008 elections, as well as the Joaquim Chissano Foundation with a drinking water project in Zitundo, Mozambique . The foundation participated through WFP in the relief efforts for the people of Myanmar after the devastating hurricane Nargis , and through a donation to the China Disabled Persons' Federation in relief measures for the population in south-western China affected by a severe earthquake. Via Facebook , the organization organized and sponsored a food aid program for the population of Haiti due to the threat of famine following drastic food price increases, as well as a food aid program for disabled women and children in Niger via the regional non-profit agency ONG Kulawa . TPRF supported America's Second Harvest with drinking water and food aid after the floods in the American Midwest and started the third initiative to improve drinking water supplies in Ghana and Niger. TPRF supported a drinking water project for 60 schools in Pakistan together with the Rotary Club Lahore Mozang and the St. John of Jerusalem Eye Clinic in Gaza .

The foundation is a member of the Better Business Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance and is accountable for its non-profit making .

In 2009, 2010 and 2011 the Charity Navigator examining agency awarded the foundation top marks for the responsible use of donations.

The foundation is run on an honorary basis by Linda H. Pascotto, Deputy is Stephen Bordoni, Treasurer is Scott Mazo. The 2004 budget was $ 1,609,696; 2005: $ 1,684,700.
