The Thironne is a river in France that runs in the Eure-et-Loir department in the Center-Val de Loire region . It rises in the north-eastern municipality of La Gaudaine , in the Perche Regional Nature Park , generally drains in an easterly direction and, after around 26 kilometers, flows into the Loir as a right tributary in the municipality of Illiers-Combray . In the estuary section, the Thironne runs in close proximity to the A11 motorway .
