Thomas Arzt (* 1983 in Schlierbach ) is an Austrian playwright .

Life

Thomas Doktor studied theater, film and media studies as well as German , philosophy and psychology at the University of Vienna . He was also a guest auditor at the Munich Film School . Doctor lives in Vienna and Flensburg . His first play, Grillenparz , was created as part of the author's project “piece / for / piece” at the Schauspielhaus Wien and was awarded the Hans Gratzer scholarship. In the 2010/2011 season, he worked as an in-house author at the Vienna Schauspielhaus . Among other things, he received the drama scholarship from the City of Vienna and the Thomas Bernhard scholarship at the Landestheater Linz . In 2012, his piece Alpenvorland was awarded the author's prize at the Heidelberger Stückemarkt .
He is co-founder of the authors' alliance nazisundgoldmund.net (blog online since 2016), which sees itself as "a multi-headed poetological monster that critically observes the developments and actions of the European right and its international alliances."
