Thomas Buitink (born June 14, 2000 in Nijkerk ) is a Dutch football player who is currently under contract with the honorary division Vitesse Arnheim . The striker is also a Dutch junior international.
Career
society
In 2010 Buitink moved from the local club Veensche Boys to the youth team at Vitesse Arnhem . In January 2016 he signed his first professional contract. Since the 2016/17 season he played in the reserve team of Vitas , but initially also played in the U19. On February 11, 2018, he made his debut in the 3-1 home win against Feyenoord Rotterdam in the first team when he came on for Luc Castaignos in the closing stages of the game . In the remaining 2017/18 season he was exchanged for three more games. Initially used only sporadically, he made it into the starting line-up in the final spurt of the following 2018/19 season . In his first appearance from the start, on March 2, 2019 (24th matchday), in a 4-1 home win against NAC Breda , he scored his first goal in the Eredivisie . At the end of March he scored all three of his team's goals in a 3-3 draw against ADO Den Haag . At the end of the season he had scored seven goals in 17 league appearances. In the following season 2019/20 he did not score a single goal in 17 league games.
National team
Thomas Buitink represented his home country in various junior national teams. For the U17 he scored six goals in 16 appearances.
