Elazar "Eli" Dasa ( Hebrew אלי דסה; * December 3, 1992 in Netanya ) is an Israeli soccer player .

Career

society

Dasa started his career at Beitar Jerusalem . For the 2010/11 season he moved to the professional squad of the capital club. He made his Ligat ha'Al debut in August 2010 when he came on as a substitute for Hen Azriel in the 56th minute against Maccabi Netanja . In September 2010 he started against Hapoel Be'er Scheva for the first time. By the end of the season he came to 18 missions in the highest Israeli league. In the 2011/12 season he came again to 18 league appearances for Beitar.

In September 2012 he scored his first goal in the Ligat ha'Al in a 1-1 draw against Hapoel Be'er Scheva. In the 2012/13 season he came to a total of 25 missions in which he scored a goal. In the 2013/14 season he was used 20 times, but scored no goal. In the 2014/15 season he played 32 league games in which he scored two goals.

For the 2015/16 season Dasa moved to league rivals Maccabi Tel Aviv . In September 2015, he made his first appearance in the UEFA Champions League against Dynamo Kiev , from which he was eliminated with Maccabi as the last in Group G in the preliminary round. In the league, Dasa came in his first season with the club from Tel Aviv to 28 appearances, in which he scored two goals. In the 2016/17 season he took part in the UEFA Europa League with the club after successfully qualifying . As in the Champions League, however, they remained unsuccessful in the Europa League and were eliminated in the preliminary round. Dasa was used in five of six games, only the second group game against Dundalk FC he missed. In the league he was used in 31 games and remained without a hit.

In the 2017/18 season he was able to qualify for the Europa League for the second time in a row with Maccabi, but due to an injury he only played one game this season. In the league he came to 18 missions in which he scored a goal. In the 2018/19 season they failed in a Europa League qualification in the playoff at Sarpsborg 08 FF , but Dasa was able to become Israeli champions for the first time in that season. In the championship season he came to 23 missions in which he scored two goals. After the success, however, he left the club in the summer of 2019.

After several months without a club, Dasa moved to Vitesse Arnheim in the Netherlands in September 2019 , where he received a contract that ran until June 2022. He made his debut in the Eredivisie in the same month when he came on as a substitute for Bryan Linssen on matchday eight of the 2019/20 season against RKC Waalwijk in the 57th minute .

National team

Dasa played at least two games for the Israeli U-19 selection between 2009 and 2011 . In November 2010 he came against Belarus for his first appearance for the U-21 team . By September 2014 he had been on 22 missions for them.

In March 2015 he stood against Wales for the first time in the squad of the senior team . He finally made his debut in September 2015 when he was in the starting XI in the European Championship qualifier against Andorra .
