Thomas Smolej

Thomas Smolej (born September 24, 1982 in Villach ) is an Austrian director , actor and speaker .

Life

Thomas Smolej grew up in Carinthia , graduated in 2001 from the BORG Klagenfurt in the musical branch (piano, singing) and in the same year received his diploma in drama from the Vienna joint examination commission. At the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and privately, he studied singing with Jack Poppell and Christian Koch. He completed additional language training with Biggi Weidinger, as well as studying theater, film and media studies at the University of Vienna .

Thomas Smolej stages (music) theater pieces, musicals, cabaret and comedy programs, shows and events. He is still on stage himself, was a permanent member of the Cabaret Simpl ensemble from 2005 to 2010 , works as a speaker for advertising, documentation and audio books and coaches in the areas of professional appearance, language and voice. At the University of Vienna he taught “Introduction to Theoretical Speech Technique” and has been a jury member of the joint examination committee for the art genres drama and musical since 2012.
