Thomas Spahn

Thomas Spahn (born January 27, 1957 in Bottrop ) is a German television presenter and journalist .

Life

Spahn completed the 1976 High School and then began a study of political science , German literature and pedagogy . Between 1976 and 1984 he worked as a freelancer for the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung (WAZ) in Bottrop, then from 1984 to 1985 as a student assistant at the ARD TV studio in Bonn .

From 1985 he worked as editor-in-chief for the radio and television agency Live in Bonn. From 1986 he worked as a freelance presenter and editor at SDR 3 in Stuttgart . From 1987 Thomas Spahn worked again as an editor - now at the radio news agency Rufa in Bonn. There he became deputy editor-in-chief in 1989. From 1993 Spahn took over the position of chief planner of the VOX news. In the following year he became studio manager of VOX in Bonn. From October 1, 1994, he worked as a freelance television and radio foreign correspondent in Switzerland . Spahn worked there for Spiegel TV , RTL and ARD radio programs, among others .

From 1996 he worked as a freelance television journalist and producer in Bonn, where he again worked for Spiegel TV and RTL, among others - and this time also for Stern TV reportage. From 1997 to 1998 Thomas Spahn was the political correspondent for Spiegel TV in Bonn. From 1999 to February 2000 he was a freelance television journalist and producer in Bonn. From March 2000 Thomas Spahn worked in Berlin as a political correspondent and moderator at N24 . He moderated the N24 early report there .

Thomas Spahn has been working for the German international broadcaster DW-TV since January 2011 . There he moderates the program “Economy compact”.
