geography

Church in Tiefenbach

The Tiefenbach district is located in the north of the Crailsheim Bay sub- natural area of the Hohenlohe and Haller Plains, northwest of the Crailsheim core city and to the left of the deeply incised and winding shell limestone valley of the Jagst on the plateau. In addition to the main town of Tiefenbach itself, it includes the hamlets of Rüddern in the west and Wollmershausen in the northwest, as well as the residential area Weidenhäuser Mühle , a mill area in the east on the Jagst. Tiefenbach itself is traversed by the Schmiedebach , which runs on its subsequent remaining course to the Jagst in the deep Kerbtal. Less than a kilometer south-east of the town center is the Burgstall Eulenburg on the left Jagsttalhang .

The vast majority of the district is in an open hallway. The forest is limited to a few islands, the left Jagsttalhang and a small portion of the Reußenberg in the far west.

politics

The district of Tiefenbach forms a place according to § 68 of the Baden-Württemberg municipal code. The local council consists of six seats. The mayor is (as of 2019) Friedrich Lober.

Tiefenbach is also a residential district in municipal council elections , it sends two members to the Crailsheim municipal council as part of the fake suburb election .

Economy and Infrastructure

traffic

From the center of Tiefenbach you can reach the city center of Crailsheim after less than 4 km via state road 1041 in a south-easterly direction. Halfway there, there is a connection to the federal highway 290 via the north-west bypass Crailsheim and with this south again to the city center, north to the motorway junction Satteldorf / Crailsheim of the federal motorway 6 (total distance about 7 km). In the opposite direction, the same L 1041 leads on an 8 km long, more scenic than fast route to the northwest past Wollmershausen, through Erkenbrechtshausen and Lobenhausen, which belongs to this small town behind, to Kirchberg an der Jagst . The district road 2641 connects the south-westerly district of Rossfeld for a little over 2.5 km with Tiefenbach and then continues for a further 4 km to the west via Rüddern to Triensbach.

Public facilities

Tiefenbach has a volunteer fire , an elementary school (Reussenberg school), a gymnastic hall and fixed as well as a kindergarten dandelion .
