Tiefengrün is a district of the municipality Berg in the district of Hof in Bavaria .

location

The village is located 3 km northeast of Berg in the middle of agricultural land. The Schießbach, a tributary of the Saale, passes the place in the south. The municipal area of the district lies in the hilly hilly transition zone from the Franconian Forest to Fichtelgebirge . The state road St 2198 connects Tiefengrün with Hirschberg / Saale (via Untertiefengrün ) and Schnarchenreuth . There is a connection to the A 9 motorway (AS 30 'Rudolphstein') and the town of Rudolphstein via the district road HO 11 .

The first written mention of the place comes from 1302. In 1978 Tiefengrün was incorporated into the municipality of Berg.
