Bug is a district of the municipality Berg in the district of Hof in Bavaria .

Bug is located east of the federal motorway 9 at the Berg / Bad Stöben junction and east of the municipality of Berg. The main road in 2197 connects the district with the Ungegend traffic default. The docked area is characterized by the altitude, the Franconian Forest and the Fichtel Mountains as well as the Thuringian Slate Mountains that run out .

Personalities
- Heinrich Holzschuher (1798–1847) worked here as the patrimonial judge of the von Dobenckschen estates and died at Bug Castle on December 30, 1847. He wrote the second and third stanzas of the Christmas carol “ O you cheerful ”.
