Tiefenstein (Idar-Oberstein)
Tiefenstein is a district of the Rhineland-Palatinate city of Idar-Oberstein in the Birkenfeld district .
It has 2,425 inhabitants and is located on Idarbach (Nahe) and on federal road 422 , which connects the B 269 near Allenbach with the B 41 in Idar-Oberstein.
Tiefenstein emerged from the amalgamation of the communities of Tiefenbach and Hettstein in 1909 and came to Idar-Oberstein with the administrative reform in 1933.
The Friedenseiche in Haselweg (Lage) is a natural monument and was planted in 1871.
